You’ve probably noticed a lot of buzz around auras and energy lately. These words have woven their way into everyday conversations, sparking curiosity about what they truly mean and why they matter. If you’ve ever wondered how your aura impacts your life—or how to care for it—this guide is for you.
What Is an Aura? Think of your aura as a radiant energy field that surrounds your physical body, like an invisible shield. Every living being has one, and just as your skin protects you physically, your aura serves as a protective layer on an energetic level. Your aura’s colors and thickness can shift depending on your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. More than just a pretty glow, your aura plays a vital role in your energy exchange with the world around you—people, places, even animals. Neglect it, and you might find yourself feeling drained, unbalanced, or vulnerable to negativity. How to Care for Your Aura Just like tending to your physical health, nurturing your aura involves creating mindful habits that keep you aligned and empowered. Here are some ways to safeguard and strengthen your energetic field: 1. Set Boundaries That Honor Your Energy Protecting your energy starts with clear boundaries. It’s okay to choose who and what you let into your space. Whether it’s saying no to environments that drain you, taking your time before responding to texts, or simply stepping away from relationships that feel heavy, honoring your needs isn’t selfish—it’s essential. *** Healthy boundaries allow you to preserve your energy while keeping negative forces at bay. 2. Let Crystals Be Your Allies Crystals are nature’s gift for cleansing and protecting your aura. Black tourmaline, for example, is a powerful tool for shielding your energy. Carry it in your pocket, wear it as jewelry, or place it in spaces you frequent. The proximity of these protective stones works wonders in keeping your energy field clear and strong. 3. Recharge Your Soul Just as your phone needs recharging, so does your energetic body. If you’ve been around too many people for too long, it’s natural to feel depleted. This happens because every interaction involves an exchange of energy, even if it’s subtle. To recharge, carve out intentional time for yourself. Take a calming bath, reconnect with nature, or simply enjoy the cozy embrace of your favorite blanket. Your aura will thank you. 4. Meditate for a Clean and Empowered Aura Meditation is like a deep cleanse for your energy field. Sitting in stillness allows divine energy to flow through you, sweeping away negativity and amplifying your aura’s strength. Beyond cleansing, meditation invites peace, clarity, and an inner glow that radiates outward. Why Your Aura Matters Caring for your aura isn’t just about self-protection; it’s about creating a space where you can thrive, connect deeply, and share your magic with the world. When your energy is aligned, you’re not just surviving... you’re shining. As mystic mamas and soulful beings, nurturing our aura is a powerful step toward living in harmony with ourselves and the universe. Protect your energy, and watch your light grow brighter. ✨

What is Reiki, anyway?
Imagine having a magical tool at your fingertips, helping you find peace, balance, and healing amidst the chaos of motherhood. Welcome to the world of Reiki! This awesome therapy is all about energy flow, focusing on seven chakras—energy centers in our bodies. Think of them as your inner powerhouses, ready to boost your well-being. Reiki was developed by a Japanese spiritual teacher named Mikao Usui back in the early 20th century. He mixed meditation techniques, beliefs, and symbols that are even older. It’s a unique way complementary modality, focusing on self-healing, concentration, and five spiritual principles. The Magical Principles of Reiki At its heart, Reiki is about healing your emotional and spiritual energy flow. This therapeutic technique channels universal life energy, known as ki in Japanese, which flows through the universe and connects to your body. And guess what? Reiki can work wonders for your pets too! How Does Reiki Work? 1. Self-Healing: Start with self-healing by placing your hands in specific positions to stimulate your body’s energy. It’s like giving yourself a mini spa day, right at home. 2. Group Healing: Imagine a group of Reiki practitioners surrounding you, placing their hands over your body, and sending waves of healing energy. It’s like a team of energy cheerleaders boosting you up. 3. Distance Healing: Yup, Reiki can work from afar! In distance healing, practitioners visualize the person in need and send healing energy using Reiki symbols. It’s like a magical energy hug sent across the miles. How Can Reiki Benefit Moms? Being a mom is a beautiful adventure, but it can also be a whirlwind of stress and exhaustion. Reiki offers a peaceful oasis—a chance to reconnect with yourself and recharge. Here’s how Reiki can help:
Bringing Reiki into Your Daily LifeYou don’t need to be a Reiki master to enjoy its benefits. Start with simple practices like mindful breathing and self-care rituals. Find a local Reiki practitioner or take a beginner’s class to learn more. And if you’re feeling adventurous, involve your kids in the journey—Reiki can be a beautiful bonding experience for the whole family. Albert Einstein, one of the most brilliant minds of the twentieth century, said, “The real valuable thing is intuition.” If such a rational mind can credit intuition so highly, maybe we should give it a try too. With a little practice, coaching, and a few successes, we might just start to see the wisdom in embracing this ‘thing’ called intuition. You may know that I have been a Reiki Master for over 10 years and am working towards my Reiki Master Teacher certification. This means that if you'd like to learn how to become a Reiki Practitioner, I can help! Embrace the magic of Reiki and let it guide you towards a life filled with balance, peace, and joy. XO! Matti Bright Ralph Waldo Emerson, the American philosopher, once said, “The primary wisdom is intuition.” It's not just a theory—it's a part of who we are. Imagine if we could tap into our innate intuition daily. Why don’t we? As Carl Jung said, “Intuition does not denote something contrary to reason, but something outside of the province of reason.” Intuition is real and beyond the control of our rational minds.
There are many ways we sabotage our natural intuition. Here are 9 examples and what we can do instead: 1. We Hurry So Much That We Don’t Take Time to Listen to Our Intuition. As busy moms, it’s easy to rush through our days, juggling a million things at once, without pausing to listen to that little voice inside us. Correction: Slow down, mama! Even a few moments of stillness can make a difference. Sip that cup of tea slowly, take a deep breath, and let your intuition speak. 2. We Don’t Look for the Symbolism in Things or Events Ever notice those weird coincidences or recurring themes in your life? They’re not just random—they’re signs! Correction: Open your heart to possibilities. Start a fun journal with your daughter to record these little wonders. You'll be amazed at the patterns and messages you uncover together. 3. We Let Our Ego Control Us The ego likes to be the boss, dismissing the quiet nudges of intuition as unimportant. Correction: Acknowledge your ego but don’t let it run the show. Your intuition is a gentle guide, not a control freak. Practice humility and openness. When you feel the ego taking over, take a deep breath and consciously shift your focus to your heart space. 4. We Confuse Intuition with Fear and Wishful Thinking It’s easy to mistake fear or wishful thinking for intuition. Fear often shouts, while intuition whispers. Wishful thinking can cloud our judgment and lead us astray. Correction: Balance your emotions. Ground yourself and let intuition rise above fear and desire. Practice discernment by asking yourself if the message you’re receiving feels peaceful and aligned with your highest good. 5. We Continue to Associate with People Who Don’t Believe in Intuition The people we surround ourselves with can greatly influence our beliefs and behaviors. If we’re constantly around skeptics, it can be challenging to trust and develop our intuition. Correction: Surround yourself with believers. Intuition is contagious, and so is disbelief. Find a community of like-minded individuals who support and encourage your intuitive growth. 6. We Think We Can Force Intuition Intuition doesn’t respond well to force or pressure. It emerges naturally when we’re relaxed and open. Correction: Invite intuition gently. It arrives with grace, not force. Create a welcoming environment for your intuition by engaging in activities that foster relaxation and joy, such as yoga, art, or spending time in nature. 7. We Insist on Staying in Our Logical, Rational, Analytical Thinking Our society often prioritizes logic and reason over intuition. We’re taught to rely on analytical thinking to solve problems and make decisions. Correction: Embrace emotional intelligence. Intuition thrives when intellect and emotion dance together. Allow yourself to step outside the box and consider creative, intuitive solutions alongside logical ones. 8. We Listen to Our Ego When It Tells Us It Can Handle Everything The ego likes to believe it has all the answers and can handle any situation on its own. This attitude blocks the flow of intuitive insights. Correction: Allow your intuition to guide. Your ego doesn’t have all the answers. Trust that your intuition can offer valuable insights and solutions that the ego cannot perceive. 9. We Believe We Don’t Need to Learn Tools, Skills, and Habits to Master Our Intuition Like any other skill, intuition can be developed and refined through practice and learning. Ignoring this aspect keeps us from reaching our full intuitive potential. Correction: Develop your intuitive skills. Practice makes intuition flourish. Take courses, read books, and engage in practices that enhance your intuitive abilities. The more you learn and practice, the stronger your intuition will become. Albert Einstein, one of the most brilliant minds of the twentieth century, said, “The real valuable thing is intuition.” If such a rational mind can credit intuition so highly, maybe we should give it a try too. With a little practice, coaching, and a few successes, we might just start to see the wisdom in embracing this ‘thing’ called intuition Embark on this magical journey of self-discovery and intuition with your teen daughter. Together, you can unlock the mysteries of your inner wisdom and create a legacy of intuitive living. Join me on a journey woven with threads of spiritual awakening, self-discovery, and the amazing transformation that comes with motherhood. From the years of my youth, where the truth of clairvoyance dawned upon me, to the challenging seas of young adulthood, where spirituality became my steadfast anchor during the most difficult times.
Becoming a mother brought a new chapter to my story—a chapter filled with boundless love, joy, and an overwhelming sense of nurturing. As I embraced the role of motherhood with all my heart, I found myself excelling for my child and creating a loving home. However, amidst all of this, I began to lose sight of myself. The everyday obligations of parenting left me feeling disconnected from my own identity and purpose. A deep sense of sadness and questioning of existence overcame me. A lack of confidence, self-love and worth took the forefront of all of my thoughts. I longed to rediscover the essence of who I was beyond the role of motherhood. I craved to reignite the spark of passion and purpose that had fueled my dreams since childhood. It was in this moment of introspection that I realized I needed to embark on a journey of self-discovery and spiritual renewal—a journey that would lead me back to myself and unlock the boundless potential that lay within. With each step forward, I dove deeper into the realms of spirituality, uncovering the transformative power of practices like Reiki, meditation, breathwork, and aromatherapy. I learned to think about myself differently, rid all of my negative thoughts by creating new positive patterns, and breakthrough to the power that I knew was in me. Through moments of introspection and soulful exploration, I began to reconnect with my inner light and embrace the fullness of who I was as a woman, a mother, and a Divine being. As I navigated the ups and downs of life, I found peace in the wisdom of my intuition and the guiding light of my soul. And through it all, the love and support of my family and community provided a steady anchor, reminding me of the strength and resilience that resided within me. Through this journey, I developed a methodology (aka Mattiology)—a roadmap to conquer my dreams and empower others to do the same. It is a culmination of my experiences, insights, and learnings—a testament to the transformative power of embracing our true selves and walking the path of authenticity and purpose. |
